Earrings big cateye stone yellow

These earrings are made in collaboration with a small silversmith workshop in Istanbul by qualified craftsmen. These earrings are made of 22-carat gold-plated brass with a large yellow cat-eye stone. Total length is 4 cm.

One should not confuse these usually valuable synthetic gemstones with so-called imitations, as the latter are fakes made using other materials, particularly glass or synthetic resin. Consequently, these possess entirely different chemical and physical properties.

However, they possess special optical properties and are primarily used as substitutes for diamond. Most artificially created gemstones are cheaper than natural gemstones. Synthetically composed gemstones are not classified as imitations, but are regarded as a separate group alongside natural gemstones. 

The total length of the earrings is 4 cm.
